Value Dutch Calculator

Dutch multiple horses but instead of equal profit, tilt more stake toward the horses you believe are the best value — based on your own true odds. Horses with no value are automatically ignored.

For each horse enter the market odds on offer and your own view of the true odds. Runners where your true odds are worse than the market will be ignored automatically.

Why Use Value-Weighted Dutching?

Traditional dutching spreads your stake so that whichever horse wins, you make roughly the same profit. That is perfect when all your selections look equally attractive.

Value-weighted dutching is for the days when you fancy three or four runners but one of them looks a real stand-out at the price. Instead of treating them all equally, this calculator quietly nudges more of your stake toward the horses where your view of the race says the bookmakers are most wrong.

Strategy: Lean Into Your Edge

  • • Shortlist the real contenders: Use your race reading to find the 3–5 runners you genuinely believe can win.
  • • Set your own tissue: For each horse, note what you think the fair odds should be if you were pricing the race yourself.
  • • Spot the value: When your true odds are shorter than the market odds, you have a value edge.
  • • Let the calculator do the rest: Enter both sets of odds and your total stake. It will tilt your staking toward the horses with the biggest edge.
